What is your highest level of education?  

Bachelor of Science - Sociology, Minor - Communications

If you're elected or re-elected, what will be your top priority? Why?  

Medicaid Expansion - because we need health care for everyone. We have many who currently fall through the cracks based on their income level.

Education - There is a true need to fund and support public schools, especially our teachers who work so hard to educate our most prized possessions, our children.

Economic Development - Citizens need to earn a livable wage in order to survive and take care of their basic needs.

Mental Health - In today’s world, we can no longer ignore the need to take care of ourselves so that we can function and deal with our stressors

If you're elected or re-elected, how will you involve your constituents in the process of making decisions?

I would involve citizens in making decisions by creating advocacy groups to help identify issues and possible solutions. I will also hold Town Hall meetings to receive input as well as office calls, visits and social media platforms.

Why should voters choose you for the position you're running for?  

Voters should choose me because I am a strong advocate who speaks up about the issues at hand. I will utilize my years of experience to assist with making decisions that have greater benefits for the community as a whole.

Which three things about you do you most want voters to know? 

I am accessible - I can be contacted to have a discussion about any issue.

I am transparent - I take pride in sharing the truth about what is happening.

I am persistent -I work hard to find resolutions to issues for constituents.

Is there anything else about you that you wish to tell voters?  

It is imperative that we work collectively together here in Eastern NC. Many times, resources are directed to some of the larger areas but should also be directed to us here in Eastern NC. We need to continue to fight for things that will allow us to grow and prosper and provide opportunities for all constituents.
