    Donald W. Shreve

    Office campaigning for:

    Bath Town Commissioner

What is your current job title?

In retirement, I’m a substitute teacher for Bath and Northeast elementary schools and was vice chair of this year’s Bath Festival.

What is your highest level of education?

    Bachelor Of Science in Psychology

If elected or re-elected, what will be your top priority? Why?

I am a fiscal conservative and strongly feel that government should be transparent with its citizens. Also, that I would be a voice for the people and to look into what's been tested and tried, then move forward with a positive and fresh outlook for promoting good government.

If elected or re-elected, how will you involve your constituents in the process of making decisions?

As already stated, I would be a voice of the People by listening to their concerns and to bring those concerns up to the council and to get a prompt response back to them.

Why should voters choose you for the position you are running for?

My past background and work history would be a valuable asset in the governance of the town, such as I was a CEO of a community non-profit with a million dollar budget, held supervisory positions with two major airlines, was district executive for the Boy Scouts of America, Sworn Officer for the North Carolina Department of Community Corrections, and currently a substitute teacher in Beaufort County.

What three things about you do you most want voters to know?

    1. Im fair and honest. 2. I follow through on promises made. 3. If elected, I will work just as hard as I can in order to make Bath a better place to live.

Is there anything else you wish to say?

I have a passion to serve my community and I believe my leadership, management, and financial experience would be of great benefit to our town.
