Three things about you want people to know:

    Ed Dennis

    Position Running For:
    Commissioner
What is your current job and title?
General Manager of Dennis Properties and Investments, LLC
What is your highest level of education?
ECU graduate with a BS degree in Business

If you’re elected. what will be your top priority?  Why?
If re-elected my top priority is to make Bethel more attractive to live in. It will take a multi layered approach to achieve this. Beautification of the town will be a big part. Grassroot efforts have already begun to “clean up” parts of Bethel by volunteer citizens. There is a resurgence of efforts by the town to remove blight properties. Getting the town out of the water/sewage enterprise has reduced the cost of living in Bethel and will free funds that can be used to improve the aesthetics of the town. There has been a rebuilding of the town police department to continue to make Bethel a safe place to live.
If elected, how will you involve your constituents in your process of making decisions?
I will continue to encourage citizens to attend the town board meetings. This is the best way to stay in touch with the business of the town. Also, open discussions with your commissioners are also good. Issues can be discussed, and citizens can express their wishes and desires for the town.
    Why should voters choose you?
I was born and raised in the town of Bethel and love this town very much. I feel like serving on the town board is my way of giving back to the town.
Three things about you want people to know:
I try to live every day of my life by the beliefs I learned as a child. Although I may fall short, I always strive to be a better person. I take the role of commissioner very serious. I take the time to try to inform myself on the issues facing the town and always act in the manner I believe is in the best interest of the citizens of Bethel, even when those decisions are not always popular with everyone.

Is there anything else about you want the readers to know?
It has been my honor to serve the citizens of Bethel for the past 18 years, and if they wish it will be an honor to continue.
