    Town Council

What is your current job title?

Founder of Youth Voices Matter Advocacy and Consultation

What is your highest level of education?

Masters of Arts in Executive Leadership (School Administration)

If elected or re-elected, what will be your top priority? Why?

To improve police and community relationships for greater unification beyond enforcement. Advocate for youth particularly teens and the elderly in establishing a place where they can participate in activities beyond participating or viewing sports. Finally, work to ensure Winterville operates with a higher level of transparency and accountability, each of these being what the residents of Winterville deserve.

If elected or re-elected, how will you involve your constituents in the process of making decisions?

The constituents should be informed about decisions before anyone of them are finalized, this should not be optional. Communicating with the constituents by various methods such as All-calls, mass mailings (electronic and paper) and finally offering the constituents the platform of frequent public hearings to hear and measure what matters to them before decisions are made. They are the true government.

Why should voters choose you for the position you are running for?

My philosophy for service being, "People care how much you know, when they know how much you care." The passion and advocacy for speaking on behalf of what should be done to benefit the people of Winterville is something I have done for the past several years. As an educational leader with over 20 years serving students, families and communities of Pitt County I have experience, knowledge and the energy to be the representative that is needed in Winterville. One who will be responsive to the resident's needs and devoted to making progress while keeping the people updated, informed and involved along the way. Being the STRONG VOICE and RIGHT CHOICE for a growing town like Winterville.

What three things about you do you most want voters to know?

    1. My commitment to work for all the people of Winterville by being their eyes, ears and voice truly comes deep from the heart. 2. Speaking up for what is true, progressive, and benefits a community that values the needs within the community is what I do, because it is the right thing. 3. I am a devoted mother who believes that the future we establish today will help create a greater tomorrow.

Is there anything else you wish to say?

Please understand that your vote is your voice. It speaks to what you are comfortable with or what you believe needs improvement. It is one of the most powerful tools of democracy. On November 2, 2021 the people of Winterville will be heard. If elected I will work from day one to help promote my platform goals on behalf of the residents, to build greater collaborative strategies with the other Town Council Members and finally ensure that I speak for all constituents...I am the strong voice and the right choice and believe that I can make a difference to ensure the "SLICE of a good life"...gets around to all and for all...each day. God bless.
