Your current job and title:

I currently serve as a pastor and have been blessed to serve in ministry for more than 10
years. I pastor Jones Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Oak City and Exodus Missionary Baptist Church in Greenville for four years. I also work with the Pitt County school system, where I have served for 10 years.

If you're elected or re-elected, what will be your top priority? Why?

My top priority will be making sure District 4 gets its fair share of attention, resources and opportunities. My campaign slogan is “More in Store for District 4,” and I truly believe our communities deserve someone who will
listen, show up and work to get things done.

I have lived in Pitt County for more than 30 years. I know the people and communities of District 4, including Ayden, Farmville, Fountain, Falkland, Bell Arthur and the surrounding areas. I want to focus on responsible growth, improving our
communities, supporting our schools and families, and making sure the voices of
our residents are not overlooked.

If you're elected or re-elected, how will you involve your constituents in the process of
making decisions?

If elected, I believe you cannot represent people you aren't willing to listen to. I want to make myself accessible to the people of District 4 and the county. That means listening before making decisions, holding conversations with residents,
attending community events, visiting our different communities, and creating opportunities for people to bring their concerns and ideas directly to me.

I don't want constituents to hear from me only when it's time to vote. I want them to know
they can reach out to me throughout the entire term. My goal is for people to feel like they have a seat at the table, not just a vote on Election Day.

Why should voters choose you for the position you're running for?

Voters should choose me because I am not running just to have a title. I am running
because I care about the people and the place I call home. I have spent years serving people through my work, my ministry and my community involvement. I understand that leadership is about being present, being accountable and being willing to work even when nobody is watching.

Which three things about you do you most want voters to know?

I bring three things to this race that I believe matter: fairness, commitment and
dependability. I will not promise people everything just to get their vote. I will promise to listen, work hard, tell people the truth and represent District 4 to the best of my ability.

Is there anything else about you that you wish to tell voters?

· First, I’m a servant. Whether it's through my work, ministry, or helping someone in my community, serving people has always been important to me.

· Second, I’m from here. I am a Pitt County native who has spent more than 30 years in this community. I understand the pride people have in where they live, and I understand the challenges our communities face.

· Third, I’m going to show up and do the work. I believe leadership requires more than talking. You have to be willing to be present, listen to people, roll up your sleeves and do the work.
That's the kind of commissioner I intend to be.

I want voters to know that I’m running because I believe District 4 and this great county of Pitt has more in store. I've spent much of my life serving others, and I believe that experience has prepared me for this responsibility. I'm a pastor, an employee, a father, a community member, and most importantly, someone who cares about the future of Pitt County.

I don't believe one person can solve every problem, but I do believe the right person
can bring people together, listen to different perspectives, and help move the community forward. I’m not asking the people of District 4 to simply vote for me. I’m asking them to believe that together, we can make sure District 4
and Pitt County is heard, represented and not left behind.
