    Your current job and title:

    I retired from the North Carolina Department of Public Safety-Division of Adult Corrections. I currently pastor two churches, Mt. Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, Bethel; and Lily of the Valley Baptist Church, Everetts.

    Your highest level of education:

    I have a Master's of Science In Administration.

    If you're elected or re-elected, what will be your top priority? Why?

    My main priority will be to make sure that the Town of Bethel's tax resources are spent to meet Bethel's most pressing needs. I would also like to investigate
    businesses that might be interested in locating to our town. Also, we need to clean up dilapidated structures in the town and to clean up overgrown
    lots.

    If you're elected or re-elected, how will you involve your constituents in the process of making decisions?

    If I'm elected, I will try to be available to hear from constituents and to address the issues that they see as problems, if possible. If the constituents seek
    help with something that is outside of Board of Commissioners’ control, then I would try to point them to the right source.

    Why should voters choose you for the position you're running for?

    I am not, nor am I interested in being, a politician. I want to be a representative that will serve the community. I believe in having an open mind as I seek to make decisions.

    Which three things about you do you most want voters to know?

    • I will try to fairly be a representative for the entire town.
    • MyChristian faith will guide me in my decisions.
    • I believe in being prepared to discuss things and to make the best decisions for
      the town.

    Is there anything else about you that you wish to tell voters?

    I served the Town of Bethel previously until my job took me out of town. I am now available to keep a better eye on things, and I want to see improvements. I ask for one of your votes for Bethel Town Commissioner. Thank you.

    My current profession is an educator. I teach for Pitt County Schools.

    Your highest level of education:

    I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, and I am currently working on my masters in Reading Education.

    If you'reelected or re-elected, what will be your top priority? Why?

    If I am elected my top priorities will be the infrastructure of the town, as well as community engagement and transparency.

    If you're elected or re-elected, how will you involve your constituents in the process of
    making decisions?

    I will try to implement a few simple strategies to involve my constituents in the decision process by attending all scheduled meetings and being prepared with information that is important to the town. I will also be transparent with the community and my committee counterparts when it concerns matters that impact every citizen. In addition, I will work tirelessly to build a relationship of trust and respect with the committee members as well as the community.

    Why should voters choose you for the position you're running for?

    I believe that voters should vote for me because I will listen, engage, and make decisions based on what is best for all residents—not just a select few.

    Which three things about you do you most want voters to know?

    A few thing sI want the voters to know about me is that first of all, I understand the challenges we face in our town, and I know there is potential for positive growth here. Also, I pride myself in the ability to make decisions based on what is good for everyone. I look forward to this journey that we will take together.
